Down the Pub with Luke Wright

Posted by lukewrightpoet Category: Diary Entries

This summer I’ll be doing a series of gigs in pubs. It’s part of the Inn Crowd scheme, which I talk more about here. This isn’t a new show, it’s a best of set really, but there will be a few new poems chucked in for good measure. I’ve done this hour 3 times now and it’s gone really well. The Ballad of Chris & Ann’s Fish Bar (from Cynical Ballads) makes an appearance, as does Houses That Used to be Boozers (Essex Lion). Plus poems that never made it into shows like Judge Crush, Ron’s Knock-Off Shop and One Trick Bishop. It’s good fun, and perhaps it’s coming to a pub near you …

7th June – The Lighthouse, Deal
15th June – The Roebuck Inn, Laughton, Ringmer
8th July – The Salehurst Halt, Robertsbridge
19th July – The Albion, Ashford
25th July – The Starr Inn Walden

All the finer details are on the gigs page.
