The People That Run The Country is a collaboration between poet Luke Wright and multi-instrumentalist Jim Taylor. Wright’s brand of snarky spoken word is hoisted above electronic beats and trashy indie guitar. It’s shit loads of fun and very catchy indeed.

Support on the night comes in the form of a spoken word set from Wright and Sheffield act Studio Electrophonique, the solo musical venture of James Leesley, whose songs are cinematic, melodic, and warm – efficient in arrangement yet intricate in detail.

The gig will double as a shoot for The People Who Run The Country’s debut single, so be aware you may fetaure for a brief second in the video.
