Edinburgh goes forth

I’m writing this on a dying phone outside a caff on Pottersrow. The sun is burning its way through the Edinburgh clouds and I’m awaiting a full Scottish breakfast.

Life is sweet up here. Full on and boozey, but sweet all the same. My fifth review, this is time from Broadway Baby arrived moments after I posted yesterday’s blog. 4 stars:

” An assured performer, Wright walks a dangerously thin line between politically weighty poetry and observational stand-up but emerges completely unscathed, with his show ultimately begging the question: why aren’t all poets this funny, or if you prefer, why don’t all comedians have this social conscience?”

Might see if the wife can write my glowing reviews for my home life. Turns out I rather enjoy being praised.
