Busy Busy

Hi gang, it’s a busy few weeks of home-made gigs, most of which are in Norwich. Allow me to reveal:

1. Norwich Poetry Club
Ross Sutherland (Aisle16, Scottish, unlucky) will be performing alongside Nathan Filer (funny, young-looking, West country accent) at our final Norwich Poetry Club of the year. Both these guys are great, it’ll be a real treat to catch them in the intimate surroundings of NPC, so do pop along.
Tuesday 16 November | The Bicycle Shop | St Benedict’s St | Norwich | £5 | 7.30pm start.

2. Luke Wright & Friends – Nasty Little Event – Richmond Lit Fest
This isn’t really a ‘me and friends’ event, that’s just how the festival chose to publicise it. It’s an equal billing of four Nasty Little Press authors – John Osborne, Byron Vincent, Martin Figura and myself. We all gelled nicely at Port Eliot and I’m really excited about working as a foursome again. Last London gig of 2010.
Friday 26 November | The Fox Pub | 39 Church Street | Twickenham | £5 | 8pm start

3. The Petty Concerns of Luke Wright
OK, so this is the big one for me. The FINAL EVER performance of The Petty Concerns … And I’m doing it in my home town of Norwich. Really excited about this and I’m desperate for loads of you to come down and see it. The Arts Centre is great with a big crowd and I want to give this show a really good send off.
Monday 29 November | Norwich Arts Centre | St Benedict’s Street | Norwich | £8/6 | 8pm

4. Aisle16 is 10!
In 2000 I founded the poetry collective Aisle16. We grew, we shrunk, we grew again. We’ve had some amazing times. Some of you have been there for some of them. So to celebrate we’re putting on a free gig at The York Tavern, where we used to do our monthly club way back in 2002. We’d love it if you’d join us.
Saturday 4 December | The York Tavern | 1 Leicester Street | Norwich | FREE | 8pm

5. Wombat Wombat
I’m compering Wombat Wombat’s 10th anniversary celebrations at Norwich Arts Centre. Featuring the bands Bearsuit (yay!), Scumbag Philosopher and Brothers. It’ll be a cracking night and I’ll be doing about 40 mins of material in between the bands.
Friday 10 December | Norwich Arts Centre | St Benedict’s Street | Norwich | £TBC | 8pm
