By turns funny and moving, Fat Dandy looks at solitude, politics and Wright’s dual life as a “paunchy dad” and “jobbing fop” on tour. As well as more personal pieces Fat Dandy is full of Hogarth-esque characters. Meet the cantankerous, cane-swinging Bastard of Bungay, spend half-term with the lonely Science teacher Mr Hooper and cry NOT IN MY NAME with the irate residents of Much Harpingon.
