Luke is the main host and co-programmer of the Poetry Arena at The Latitude Festival. The largest single poetry event in Europe, the tent plays host to 60+ poets over three and half days. Starting with a mighty five hour gig on the Thursday night, the tent is open 11am to 2am non-stop Friday to Sunday totaling 51 hours of live poetry.
In the past Latitude has played host to Patti Smith, Carol Ann Duffy, Roger McGough, Simon Armitage, John Cooper Clarke, Kate Nash, John Hegley, Murray Lachlan Young, Lemn Sissay, Daljit Nagra, Polarbear, Aisle16, David J, Dockers MC and many, many more.
2009 was a stellar year. The Latitude Poetry Arena played host to Andrew Motion, Jackie Kay, Brian Patten, Aidan Moffet, Simon Armitage, Daljit Nagra, Dockers MC, Polarbear, Aisle16, Nathan Jones & Wave Machines and many, many more.
