As many of you know I co-programme the Poetry Arena at the Latitude Festival. The first new names were released yesterday evening at the official Latitude launch. I couldn’t make the launch because, like a good husband, I was attending a home birth support group meeting with my good lady wife. However, my spies tell [...] Recovering from London Word Festival’s WebstockY. The show ran about 80 minutes late so I didn’t finish until 9.40pm, as apposed to 8.20pm. I cut my set short by about 10 mins. In the end it wasn’t really worth continuing. There was no energy in the room. My stuff wasn’t terribly received, but it wasn’t [...] I’ve had six weeks off from performing poems. In fact I’ve only done one poetry gig since December. It’s been really ace to have some time off from traveling. I’ve been doing loads of education work for CP (as have pretty much all the writers I know), which has been hard work, but [...] The poetry scene in London has been rocked by two performance artists-cum-fucking nutcases.
